Another late post because this guy is still sick and needs his bedrest so DEAL WITH IT. This track is about 3 weeks old and I’ve been dying to post it but I have a visual aesthetic to sync up and I HATE deleting imagery so sometimes I cant post what I want right away. Anyway, this is the most recent track released by Texas/Chicago ambient beatmaker prodigy Selva Oscura.
This man is easily one of my top 3 favorites from this whole niche of electronic music, he is pure bliss diving drunkenly into a pool on a hot summer night and exploding back to the surface with a gasp of euphoric life.
This track is pretty laid back and mellow but for what it lacks in energy it makes up for in amazing aquatic atmosphere, there is definitely some retro videogame water level score influence here and believe me Selva takes that torch and really runs with it.. Or swims with it if you will. Its a beautiful track and I recommend listening with a beverage.

Here’s another artist that I’ve kept my ears on lately and just a few days ago he dropped an fresh track for all of us. Selva Oscura is the moniker of Ray Levinson, a young producer currently signed to Chill Mega Chill who excels in making gorgeous ambient chillwave beats. His first ep AS/IS/WAS dropped in June of last year and now Levinson is at work on a debut album which will be titled REFRACTIDES. “Taste Water, Glow Blue” is the first taste of that and if it’s any indication of what will be heard in the future than I’m preparing to be dazzled once again. The beats are lush and crisp with a slight groove that compliments the glowing electronics amazingly. I get the feeling that I’m floating through a crystal blue ocean with the breeze moving just right and without a single care in the world. I’d highly recommend headphones against speakers for this one and you may want to play it a few times to perfectly grasp the feel.
